Payment & Proposals

Does MFC provide Financing?

Yes, MFC offers various loan options, including a 12-month “same as cash” plan, traditional term loans up to $100,000, and repayment terms of up to 12 years. Visit our website for more information. Some restrictions apply

In most cases, a 50% deposit is required, and the balance is due upon completion. We accept most credit cards and offer competitive financing options.

MFC can provide as many proposals as you need. However, we recommend starting with the option that you desire the most. In many cases, this choice will be closely aligned in cost with “value-added” options. Additionally, MFC offers excellent financing options to help you get the fence that fits your needs.

Certainly, MFC’s standard practice is to list fence lines by cardinal direction. This approach helps to differentiate individual fence lines that may have shared costs.

Installation Process

Is a permit required for my fence?

The loaded question! Yes and no. We recommend checking with your local jurisdiction to find out if a fence permit is required. Cities and counties generally work better with homeowners when it comes to obtaining fence permits. In most cases, when installing a fence “like for like,” a permit may not be necessary. MFC is licensed in all the jurisdictions where we operate, and we can help you obtain a permit if desired, for an administrative fee ranging from $150 to $500.

In most cases, standard-sized backyards up to 300 feet can be installed in two business days. Occasionally, a third day may be needed to complete the final touches. For more specific information about your project, please feel free to contact the project management team.

No, it is not necessary for someone to be present when the crew arrives on the first day. However, we strongly encourage having someone knowledgeable about the project there. Our crew foreman will review the project and proceed from that point. In most cases, no additional direction will be needed.

MFC will contact all utilities that are classified as public, as required by law. These utilities are regulated by the Public Utilities Commission (PUC), including companies like Xcel Energy, Comcast, and Water & Sanitation. However, any private lines, such as BBQ gas lines, power for sheds, or power for water features, remain the responsibility of the homeowner.

No, we request a locate from the Utility Notification Center of Colorado, which then contacts the individual utilities to send their own locators. Several different locators may need to access the property before fence installation.

Unfortunately, MFC lacks the resources and ability to gather neighbor information. We strongly encourage you to communicate with your neighbors before installation to ensure a smooth process.

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. MFC offers Sprinkler Damage Coverage (SDC) to protect you from damage to underground sprinkler lines. In most cases, SDC costs $250* (some terms apply). Traditionally, if a contractor damages a sprinkler line, you are left to handle the repairs on your own.

Unless the client requests otherwise, we will use on-site utilities to reduce costs and provide the best value.

MFC can install a temporary fence for an additional charge; however, we strongly recommend that you and your neighbors keep the dogs contained during the project timeline. Temporary fences can cause extra damage to the landscape and are not guaranteed to effectively contain dogs.

MFC is not a licensed surveyor. When contracted to replace a fence, we will ensure that the new fence is installed in the same location as the previous one. If there are any concerns about the fence’s location, we recommend contacting a surveying company.

Yes, when possible. Fence installation is a construction project, and damage to delicate landscaping can occur. Landscape mitigation may be required after fence installation. MFC always takes care to minimize damage to the existing landscape.

Your New Fence

Will my new fence be tight to the ground?

MFC will strive to minimize gaps at the bottom of the fence. Our goal is to provide a functional fence that is also aesthetically pleasing.

All gates installed by MFC can be locked using a standard padlock.

MFC exclusively uses Western Red Cedar, which is the most naturally resistant material to rot and decay, second only to redwood. This makes it ideal for Colorado’s high desert climate. Imported materials and/or treated lumber have too many cons to list.

The average life expectancy of a Western Red Cedar fence is 20-25 years when proper installation methods are used. With proper maintenance and small repairs, we have seen fences installed by MFC last 35-40 years.

MFC offers options that can provide nearly 100% privacy. However, since wood is a natural material, some shrinkage is expected, which may result in gaps. If you require complete privacy, please consult with your sales associate about alternative materials or design options.

Staining your fence will not extend its lifespan, but it will enhance its appearance. If you appreciate the fresh look of Western Red Cedar, consider using a clear oil-based stain. You won’t be disappointed.

Yes, in almost all cases, MFC uses wet poured concrete to secure our posts. We will never use dry sack concrete; all concrete is fully mixed and allowed to set before the fence is completed.

MFC uses only the highest-quality fasteners. For wood fences, we use hot-dipped ring-shanked nails, which are virtually like screws from a nail gun.
